Michael started This Way to bring awareness to the mental health challenges faced by young adults. His passion for this mission started when he learned of the mental health issues his two young daughters were facing. Michael recognized a need for fathers to have better communication with their children about mental health and recognized the need for accessible mental health treatment services in the community.
Michael is retired from the U.S. Air Force and has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. In his free time, he enjoys riding one of his motorcycles, camping and fishing.
During her career, Crystal has observed the impact untreated mental health issues have on the community. On a personal level, she has experienced the collateral consequences mental health issues have for those experiencing them, as well as the impact on their families and friends. She is hopeful This Way’s message of hope will raise awareness about mental health and afford opportunities for young adults to access resources without facing a financial burden.
Crystal has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. She enjoys camping, fishing, and watching her favorite NFL team play.
Pam has a bachelor’s degree in administration of Justice, served in the military for 5 years, and has served her community for 17 years. The moment she heard it, she knew she had to be part of it. She knew this was the time to stop talking about change, and start being part of the change.
